Frequently asked questions
Below are some informative answers to commonly asked questions concerning this service, if you cannot find the information you are looking for please contact me.
What standards of hygiene can I expect?
Your safety is my priority. I use single-use, medically sterile equipment for every patient, following strict clinical protocols similar to those in a high-street clinic, but tailored for your home.
How should I prepare for my home visit?
No special setup is required. All I need is a clear space to sit and for you to be comfortably seated in a chair where you can easily rest your feet on my professional footrest.
What happens during the first appointment?
The initial visit includes a full health check and neurovascular assessment. We will discuss your medical history and create a personalised care plan to keep your feet healthy and pain-free.
What is the difference between a Foot Health Practitioner and a Podiatrist ?
A Foot Health Practitioner focuses on routine and preventative care, such as nail trimming, reducing corns and calluses, and helping maintain overall foot health.
Podiatrists (also called chiropodists) are regulated healthcare professionals, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat more complex or high-risk foot and lower limb conditions.
FeetFix by Sophia offers professional domiciliary services within the scope of foot health practice. If a condition requires more specialised medical input, appropriate referral will always be recommended.
What is my cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment please provide as much notice as possible. This allows the appointment time to be offered to another patient.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment time, then the full fee will apply. To cancel please email or text.
How do I pay for my appointment?
Payment is due by the end of your visit.
I accept cash and bank transfer for your convenience.

I regularly serve patients from Hove through to Worthing, including Portslade, Hangleton, Southwick, Shoreham-by-Sea, and Lancing. If you are unsure if your location falls within the coverage area, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
